DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:     
​     The foundation for our design philosophy at Richard Conrad and Associates has been established from a love of the land, proper training, experience, and following the principles that God has created in nature.  We believe that listening to our clients and evaluating existing topography, views, site conditions, boundaries, easements, and building floor plans are essentials for creating a successful design project.  Once we have a full grasp of the existing conditions, we can creatively design a neighborhood, site design, or landscape master plan that enhances the property and maximizes the investment of the client.  
      We follow excellent design principles that are aesthetically appealing and functional.  Views of the buildings and views from inside the buildings are framed and captured by understanding the indoor/outdoor relationship of landscape and architecture.  We produce formal designs or designs with beautiful curviliniar lines.  Our landscape designs exhibit spring, summer, and fall colors along with a beautiful evergreen look through winter.  Plants are also specified to establish a level of maintenance that the client is comfortable with. 
​       We believe that our excellent team of associates such as contractors and consultants has been very instrumental completing a beautiful design.  Clients know that we are flexible and creative problem solvers whenever it is required during the design process and construction phases of our projects.

We know that our clients come to us us with a need and a vision that is unique to their mind.   We creatively bring these visions of our clients to fruition.  Our projects will always consist of accurate and sound design principals that produce valuable, beautiful and dynamic outdoor experiences. We will also provide an enjoyable relational experience with the client that is honest and caring.   Clear and concise agreements, drawings, and verbal communication are the cornerstones of our operation throughout the design and construction process. Maximizing each property as if it was our own is our primary focus.

      Richard Conrad grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and received his training from the reputable college of architecture program at the University of Oklahoma. He has a bachelors degree in Environmental Design and completed the core curriculum from the Masters of Landscape Architecture Program at OU.  Richard Conrad and Associates was established in August of 2000 after working 9 years at the internationally known Land Planning Firm of Pittman Poe.  His commitment to excellence with design and client relationships over the past 20 years has brought the blessing of master planning some of the top neighborhoods,  gated entrances, parks, banks, and residences in  Oklahoma and Arkansas.

      Richard has been involved with the American Society of Landscape Architects.  Committment to church and charitable organizations are very important to him.  He was a football letterman at University of Oklahoma and has enjoyed coaching youth soccer, basketball, and football.  He also loves to golf, snow ski, hike and fish.
